On February 21, 2024, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission chaired a conference with Party committees, Party delegations, Party executive committees, and Party committees directly under the Central Committee on the implementation of the Working Program of the Politburo and Secretariat in 2023 and the development and organization of the implementation of the Working Program of the Politburo and Secretariat in 2024.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai highly appreciated the Party committees, Party delegations, Party executive committees, and Party committees directly under the Central Committee in 2023 for actively and proactively preparing projects and reports assigned in the Working Program of the Politburo and the Secretariat, the quality of the content of the projects and reports basically met the requirements. The appraisal opinions of the agencies and the advisory opinions of the Central Party Office ensured quality, objectivity, and honesty, many of which were highly appreciated, contributing to ensuring the comprehensive, correct, and timely leadership and direction of the Central Party Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat.
However, the work of developing and organizing the implementation of the Politburo and Secretariat's Working Program in 2023 still has some limitations, which need to be learned from, such as: There are a number of projects and implementation reports that have not ensured progress, are delayed every quarter and every month, and some projects in the Program have to be transferred to 2024. Many projects and quality reports have not met the requirements and must be re-prepared; many projects and reports sent to the Central Party Office are still late, not meeting the time requirements prescribed in the Working Regulations of the Politburo and Secretariat; affecting the appraisal and consultation of agencies. The appraisal opinions and comments of some quality agencies are still limited, not closely following the contents that need to be consulted by the Politburo and Secretariat, and are even sketchy; the time to send to the Central Party Office is often slower than required, affecting the work of consulting and synthesizing.
In 2024, promoting the achieved results, overcoming the limitations and shortcomings, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai requested relevant agencies to coordinate better in developing programs and plans to organize the implementation of projects of the Politburo and the Secretariat; assigned agencies need to focus and proactively develop assigned projects and reports; some difficult, complicated and sensitive projects that have been pending from previous years need to be focused on and resolved thoroughly according to the set program. Prioritize the tasks in the Working Program of the 13th Party Central Committee, Central conferences in 2024 and important and urgent tasks that need to be carried out during the year. The Party's advisory and support agencies, Party delegations, Party executive committees, and Party committees directly under the Central Committee must uphold their responsibilities, ensure the quality of documents for appraisal, comments, and documenting the contents after the conferences of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, and ensure progress.
