The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its air defense system shot down five Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod and Kursk provinces.
On November 22, Belgorod Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used drones to attack the village of Otradnoe near Belgorod, leaving one house completely burned down, the windows of another house broken and the facade damaged.
"As a result of the attack of two kamikaze drones on a residential building, one house was completely burned down. Another drone exploded next to another private house: the windows of the house were broken and the facade was damaged," Gladkov wrote.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties as a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the village of Otradnoe.
On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the air defense system shot down five Ukrainian drones in the Belgorod and Kursk provinces.
The statement reads: "On November 22, between 20:00 and 21:10 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev authorities to carry out a terrorist attack using drones targeting facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation was prevented.
The defense system destroyed five Ukrainian drones: four over the territory of Belgorod region and one over the territory of Kursk region."
Previously, in a special statement on the evening of November 21 local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the country was prepared to deal with any developments related to the conflict in Ukraine.
According to TASS news agency, Mr. Putin affirmed that Russia always prioritizes and is now ready to resolve all disputes through peaceful means, but also emphasized that Moscow is ready for all scenarios.
