In the spring crop of 2021, the Institute of Crop Research and Development built 8 production models of purple corn VNUA 141 and hybrid glutinous corn VNUA 69 with a total area of 20 hectares in the communes of Gia Khanh (Gia Loc), An Thanh (Tu Ky), Tan Trao (Thanh Mien) and Tan Dan ward (Chi Linh). The 2 corn varieties have the ability to grow and develop well, suitable for the land and climate conditions of Hai Duong. The rate of grade 1 corn of the VNUA 141 variety is about 85%, VNUA 69 is from 88-90%. The profit of the VNUA 141 corn variety is from 33-35 million VND/ha, 23-24% higher than the control variety Fancy 111; the VNUA 69 variety is from 46-50 million VND/ha, 18-22% higher than the control variety HN 88.
