After this ceremony, the delegations went to Mam Xoi mountain behind Kiep Bac temple to hold the death anniversary ceremony, respectfully commemorating Saint Tran. Monks, people and tourists solemnly performed the ceremony to worship Buddha, Saints and the Tran Dynasty Council, praying for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, quick relief from storms and floods, good health, prosperity, good crops and the elimination of diseases.

After the country was at peace, Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and his family chose Van Kiep - the place where he and his soldiers had their headquarters during the resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol army - as their place to live. On the 20th day of the 8th lunar month of the 8th year of Hung Long (1300), Hung Dao Dai Vuong passed away at his private residence in Van Kiep. According to legend, before becoming a Saint, Hung Dao Vuong went up to Mam Xoi Mountain, one of the 9 mountains in the Dragon Forehead mountain range behind Kiep Bac Temple to say goodbye to his people. When Hung Dao Vuong became a Saint and returned to heaven, the people of Kiep and Bac villages mourned and brought offerings of sticky rice and 100 incense sticks to Mam Xoi Mountain to worship him.

After Hung Dao Vuong passed away, King Tran conferred the title of Grand Tutor, Grand Duke, and Great King Hung Dao and ordered the construction of a temple on the site of the old Royal Palace (the location of Kiep Bac Temple today). In 1972, archaeologists found traces of the house foundation of Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, proving the official history that the temple was built on the site of his old house.

At the end of the Tran Hung Dao death anniversary, the Organizing Committee of the Con Son - Kiep Bac autumn festival distributed lucky bags to locals and tourists.

The death anniversary of Saint Tran is called the ritual of sanctifying Korea, sending the Saint off to heaven.

The death anniversary of Saint Tran is the final ritual in the 2024 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival. This is also the day the temple closes according to folk beliefs. This year's autumn festival takes place in the context that some northern provinces, including Hai Duong, are making efforts to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3. Therefore, the activities in the festival are organized solemnly, in accordance with traditional customs, but briefly. There are 2 activities at this year's festival that did not take place, including the Military Festival on Luc Dau River, the Famtrip Program and the Talk Show "Con Son - Kiep Bac - Journey of Connecting Heritage".

Within the framework of the festival, there was a ceremony to commemorate the 582nd death anniversary of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai; awarding of prizes for the Excellent Tour Guide Competition; Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week; display of Tran Dynasty cultural heritage in Hai Duong; performance of the Saint...

According to the Organizing Committee, due to the impact of the weather, the number of visitors to the two relics of Con Son and Kiep Bac decreased compared to the autumn festival in 2023. However, the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2024 took place solemnly, thoughtfully, safely, leaving a good impression on local people and tourists. The successful organization of this year's autumn festival is of great significance when the dossier submitted by Hai Duong, along with the provinces of Quang Ninh and Bac Giang, is being considered by UNESCO to recognize the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac as a world heritage site.
