Hai Duong seizes 1,300 moon cakes of unknown origin

Currently, the authorities are making records to handle these facilities according to the provisions of law.

More than 1,300 moon cakes of unknown origin were seized by authorities.

On the evening of September 20, the Economic Police Department (Hai Duong Provincial Police) discovered a candy and food business located at 53 Quang Liet Street, Thanh Binh Ward (Hai Duong City) owned by Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu, born in 1994, residing in Pom Han Ward, Lao Cai City, selling moon cakes of unknown origin.

The unit coordinated with Team 1, Hai Duong Province Market Management Department to inspect and seize over 1,300 moon cakes contained in 13 carton boxes, without labels, documents proving origin, and food hygiene and safety.

The authorities have seized and sealed all of the above moon cakes for handling according to regulations.
