Hai Duong increases fruit tree area to 22,300 hectares/year by 2030

Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the Crop Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Shift from agricultural production thinking to agricultural economic thinking. Develop concentrated crop production according to value chains, market orientation on the basis of close links between partners, with enterprises at the center.

Strive to turn cultivation into a modern technical economic sector by 2050. Cultivation production follows high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, food safety and environmental friendliness, aiming at developing a multi-value agricultural economy.

With rice, production will be developed in concentrated planning areas with synchronous investment in transport and irrigation infrastructure. Maintain 46,444 hectares of land dedicated to rice cultivation until 2030, with an output of over 545,000 tons of rice, ensuring food security.

Flexibly convert crop structure on rice land to improve land use efficiency.

By 2030, maintain the vegetable area of ​​41,500 hectares/year, total vegetable output reaches over 900,000 tons/year. Increase the production value of winter crops. Continue to maintain and expand concentrated production areas of traditional vegetables with stable consumption markets and high economic value such as onions, garlic, carrots, cabbage, kohlrabi, cauliflower, watermelon, carrots.

Building agricultural zones applying high technology, concentrated goods, investing in intra-field traffic infrastructure, water-saving irrigation systems, greenhouses, net houses, implementing safe production processes according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP processes... to meet domestic market requirements and serve exports.

Develop a production-consumption linkage model. Enhance post-harvest preservation and processing of agricultural products to increase added value. Increase the proportion of preserved and processed vegetables to over 30% to increase added value.

By 2030, increase the fruit tree area to 22,300 ha/year, output reaching 290,000 tons/year. Promote research and application of technical measures to spread out fruit tree harvests. Improve product quality, increase the area of ​​safe product production, production according to GAP process (VietGAP, GlobalGAP), especially products with stable export markets, organic production...
