Hai Duong calls for response to the lights-off event on Earth Hour 2025

This year's Earth Hour takes place from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on March 22. The Department of Industry and Trade requests that agencies and units in the province step up propaganda and dissemination so that organizations, individuals and people actively respond to the movement "All people save energy in response to Earth Hour 2025".

Strengthen visual propaganda such as hanging banners, slogans, billboards, and propaganda posters in response to the movement in densely populated areas, public places, some main roads, and agency headquarters in districts, towns, and cities.

Organize rallies, launching ceremonies, and organize the turning off of unnecessary electrical equipment during the lights-off event in response to Earth Hour.

According to the report of Hai Duong Electricity One Member Co., Ltd., in 2024, the whole province saved about 164.137 million kWh, a saving rate of about 2.3% compared to the total commercial electricity output, an increase of about 30 million kWh compared to 2023. During the Earth Hour event in 2024, the whole province saved 38,300 kWh of electricity, an increase of 1,800 kWh compared to the Earth Hour event in 2023, equivalent to 76.6 million VND.

According to the plan, by 2025 Hai Duong strives to save over 2% of total commercial electricity output.
