The second Dien Hong Prize special prize is worth 150 million VND.

On November 3, the Organizing Committee of the National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) issued Notice No. 172 on the rules of the second Dien Hong Award - 2024.

Notably, in terms of award structure, the second Dien Hong Award has a total value of more than 2.8 billion VND.

Specifically, there will be 1 Special Prize (150 million VND), 8 A Prizes (95 million VND/prize), 15 B Prizes (45 million VND/prize), 20 C Prizes (30 million VND/prize), 40 Encouragement Prizes (10 million VND/prize). In addition, 10 outstanding press agencies will be awarded the Excellence Prize, each worth 10 million VND.

In addition, 2 Awards will be given to press agencies whose works make a good impression as voted by the Judging Council (if any); each award is worth 20 million VND.

The second Dien Hong Award - 2024 continues to be carried out according to the regulations of the first Dien Hong Award - 2023 and adds some content.

In terms of content, the works participating in the award supplemented content reflecting the meaning and results of the National Assembly sessions, focusing on the 5th and 6th sessions of the 15th National Assembly.

Add the subjects of foreign nationality whose press works meet the criteria of the Award to be eligible to submit works to participate in the Award; Add the works published in magazines (print and electronic) licensed by the competent state agency to participate in the Award.

The maximum number of works that an author or group of authors can submit to the Award is 5. If the content or topic is the same, the author will not be allowed to submit to the Award in different categories.

For radio and television, the maximum group of authors is 10 people, including main positions such as: scriptwriter, editor, director, cameraman, and host.

Amendment to the regulation for authors who are members of the Judging Council to only submit works to the Prize but not to participate in judging their own works.

Works participating in the second Dien Hong Award include works published, posted, broadcast for the first time, in their original form, without editing, re-broadcasting on newspapers and radio stations licensed by competent authorities to operate press activities from May 1, 2023 to December 5, 2023.

Also according to the announcement from the Organizing Committee, the second Dien Hong Award Ceremony will be held in January 2024, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024).
