SJC gold price suddenly increased sharply, soaring to 80 million VND per tael

SJC gold price suddenly increased sharply in the opening session this morning, July 18, while gold ring price turned down.

At 9:00 a.m., Doji Company and Saigon Jewelry Company both announced the buying price at 78.5 million VND/tael and the selling price at 80 million VND/tael, an increase of 3 million VND/tael. Similarly, Phu Quy Company also increased both buying and selling prices by 3 million VND/tael, the new price from 78.5-80 million VND/tael.

This is the first adjustment (since June 6) of this brand. The difference between buying and selling prices is 1.5 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings turned down, in which Phu Quy Company listed the price of 999.9 round gold rings from 76.3-77.6 million VND/tael, down 100,000 VND/tael. Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the enterprise listed the price of smooth round gold rings at 76.33-77.63 million VND/tael (buy/sell), down 30,000 VND/tael.

In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,463 USD/ounce, down about 14 USD/ounce compared to the same time last session. This price when converted is equivalent to 75.56 million VND/tael, about 4.45 million VND/tael lower than the domestic SJC brand.

On the morning of July 18, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 24,251 VND/USD, down 5 VND compared to July 17.

With a margin of +/-5%, Vietinbank bought at 25,128 VND/USD and sold at 25,463 VND/USD; Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate from 25,143-25,463 VND/USD; BIDV announced from 25,213-25,463 VND/USD (buy/sell), while Agribank bought at 25,183 VND/USD and sold at 25,463 VND/USD, both down 5 VND compared to the previous close.
