Nearly 130 candidates passed early to enter 8 police schools

127 candidates were admitted early to 8 police schools through direct admission and consideration of academic records combined with foreign language certificates.

Of these, 11 candidates were admitted directly (won national and international prizes), 116 candidates passed by the remaining methods, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Public Security on the afternoon of July 5.

In the combined admission method, candidates must have one of the following international language certificates with the minimum level: English - IELTS (Academic) 7.5, TOEFL iBT 110; Chinese - HSK level 5; Spanish - DELE C1; French - DELF C1; Russian - TRKI 3; German - C1; Japanese - JLPT N1; Korean - TOPIK II Level 4; Italian - CELI 4.

At the same time, students must have excellent academic performance in each year of high school. In particular, the average score in foreign languages must be 8.5 points or higher. For some groups of candidates, some schools have additional criteria.

This year, 8 police schools will recruit 2,150 students. In addition to direct and combined admission, the schools mainly use a combination of the Ministry of Public Security's assessment test scores and high school graduation exam scores at a ratio of 60-40, with a total enrollment target of more than 2,000.

The formula for calculating admission scores to police schools is as follows:

Admission score = Total score of three graduation exams *2/5 + Assessment exam score *3/5 + Priority points according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Bonus points for excellent students at the national level.

The Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam takes place on July 7. Candidates choose one of two exam codes, CA1 and CA2. The multiple choice part of the two codes is the same, the essay part of CA1 is math, and CA2 is literature. The exam time is 180 minutes.

Last year, the highest admission score for police schools was 24.94 (Party Building and State Administration major of the People's Public Security Academy, applicable to female candidates in the North). The lowest admission score was 14.01 (English language major of the International Academy, applicable to male candidates).
