Man throws bricks at friend to death over karaoke song dispute

During the chaos, Nguyen Manh Tan picked up a brick and threw it straight at Nguyen Ba H.'s head, leading to his death.

On the afternoon of August 17, Hanoi City Police announced that they had decided to prosecute Nguyen Manh Tan (born in 1977, in Dai Kim ward, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi) to investigate the crime of murder.

The suspect surrendered to the police.

The cause of the crime was just because of fighting over a turn to sing, which led to a heartbreaking ending.

Accordingly, on the evening of July 30, at the "Sing for Each Other" cafe located at 103 Khuong Dinh Street (Ha Dinh Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi), a group of about 12-15 people, all middle-aged, came to drink beer and sing karaoke.

This group split into many tables to drink beer. When it came time to sing, some people got into an argument and fought right at the table just because they were fighting over their favorite song.

After that, these people continued to drag each other to the front of the shop to fight. In the chaos, Nguyen Manh Tan found a brick and threw it straight at the head of Nguyen Ba H. (born in 1976, in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi).

When he saw the victim collapse, Nguyen Manh Tan drove away from the restaurant. The victim was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment immediately. However, due to the severity of his injuries, the victim died after 2 days of emergency treatment.

After hearing the news of the victim's death, Nguyen Manh Tan went to the police station to surrender and confessed to the crime.
