Hidden beauty

Thanh Long Lake has an area of over 1,200 hectares, is a low-lying area in the downstream of Ngoi Mo (An Mo River). Ngoi Mo originates from Thanh Mai Mountain (Hoang Hoa Tham Commune) and Huyen Dinh Range (Bac An Commune), flows through Thao, Da Bac, Trai Chin beaches to Trung Que area, forming a large lake and then flows into Luc Dau River.

Every year, from June to November of the lunar calendar, rainwater from the Huyen Dinh, Con Son, Phuong Hoang ranges... pours down to flood the vast lake, creating a place for shrimp and fish to breed. Famous among them are humpback carp, loach, black carp... In late autumn and early winter, when the lake water recedes (October and November of the lunar calendar), flocks of birds, storks, geese, ducks... fly back to eat fish and shrimp. Taking advantage of the low water, people in the surrounding area can grow a winter-spring rice crop (from January to June of the lunar calendar).

Stopping here, visitors will see a very poetic landscape with open, spacious space, four sides of overlapping hills, forest system, lush environment, rich villages and many ancient historical relics. To the north of the lake is Dan Hoi mountain range, to the south is Phuong Hoang mountain, to the east is Con Son mountain, Ngu Nhac mountain, Cam mountain, to the west is Tran Rong mountain. The area in the middle of the lake has Nghe Dim mountain range. 7 km to the northeast is Huyen Dinh mountain range and Thanh Mai mountain.

During the dry season, people grow rice on part of the lake.

According to history, in the 13th century, King Hung Dao built the Van Kiep military base in the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site to prepare for the resistance war against the Yuan-Mongol. The Thanh Long lake area was also the place to gather warships and train the Tran Dynasty's navy. The villages around the lake were logistics bases managed by the wife of Saint Tran, Princess Thien Thanh Thai Truong. To date, these logistics bases have all become historical relics.

The perfect piece to turn Con Son - Kiep Bac into a national tourist area

Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site has made significant progress in recent years, becoming a destination chosen by many domestic and international tourists. However, to promote the value of the relic site in the direction of tourism development, there is still a lack of infrastructure and attractive tourism products.

In that context, Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise has proposed to build Thanh Long Lake area into a cultural, historical, spiritual and ecological tourist area of national and international stature.

The project has a total area of about 1,502 hectares, including construction and renovation of Buddhist towers, bell towers... with the focal point being the 3 towers in Tam Ton Lake, connected by an underground road system under the lake. On the floating islands in the lake, Thanh Long Pagoda will be renovated into a large pagoda to attract tourists. When the project is put into use, the landscape of the area, especially the connection point, will be improved, highlighting the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site...

When this project is implemented, it promises to create great economic benefits, contribute to promoting economic development, create jobs for local people, and at the same time solve all the missing criteria such as: infrastructure, accommodation, entertainment, shopping... to turn Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site into a national tourist area.
