Which enterprise will construct the Golden Canal bridge connecting Bac Ninh and Hai Duong?

The Bac Ninh Traffic Construction Project Management Board has just issued a decision approving the results of the contractor selection for construction package No. 14: Construction of Kenh Vang Bridge and the section from the starting point of the project Km0 + 00 to Km6 + 625.44 (in Gia Binh and Luong Tai districts, Bac Ninh province and Nam Sach district, Hai Duong province) under the Contractor Selection Plan No. 868/QD-UBND dated July 18, 2024 under the Investment Project for the Construction of Kenh Vang Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong.

According to the decision, the winning contractor is a consortium of 4 enterprises: HPT Investment and Construction Company Limited - Phuong Hoang Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company - Bac Trung Nam Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company - Trung Nam Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company.

The package has an estimated price of VND 977,719,142,000, the winning bid price of the consortium is VND 938,330,451,000, saving 4.02% for the state budget. Implementation time is 890 days.

The investment project to build the Golden Canal Bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge connecting the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong has a total length of about 13.4km, invested by the Traffic Construction Project Management Board (Department of Transport of Bac Ninh province).

The project to build the Golden Canal Bridge is 740m long, 23.5m wide, designed with a permanent scale, prestressed reinforced concrete structure; the approach roads at both ends of the bridge are 12.6km long, the road surface is 15m wide; construction locations are in Gia Binh and Luong Tai districts (Bac Ninh) and Nam Sach district (Hai Duong).

The Golden Canal Bridge is considered a symbol connecting the development corridor between Bac Ninh and Hai Duong provinces, contributing to the completion of traffic infrastructure, creating momentum for socio-economic development, attracting investment and improving the lives of people in the two provinces.

This is not only a meaningful project for the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Hai Duong, but also has the meaning of inter-regional connectivity, which the Government is very interested in. At the same time, it takes advantage of central and local capital sources, combines the two provinces and resolves problems according to regulations.

It is expected that the Golden Canal Bridge will be completed in 2025 and the entire project will be completed in 2027. The project has a total cost of more than 2,182 billion VND.
