The poem 'Spring' by Binh Nguyen Trang is like a gentle and vivid picture of the moment of changing seasons, when spring has just visited, bringing with it magical changes.

Spring
On the green fields
Listen to the joyful sound of the nightingale's wings
in the shape of a silk strip
It looks like the princess's belt.
Just arrived in the village last night.
Spring suddenly comes from a bud
Like an eye awakening after a thousand days of waiting
Strangely the wind kept blowing passionately
It seems to be full of fields...
Hear in the heart like a bell
Five o'clock in the morning suddenly rang out magically
In front of the house, peach blossoms are pink like the cheeks of a drunkard.
The lazy cat walked from the kitchen to the yard.
Many dreams return on the wings of spring
For a moment, mother seemed young again.
When mother stood on the doorstep, the wind blew her hair.
I wore a scarf on the first day of school.
Sit and talk to the cat
Spring comes with so much newness
After the rain the ground has magic
The sun shines in the cold garden
And the laughter is staying in the house, in the pot of cake
ringing...

The poem “Spring” by Binh Nguyen Trang is like a gentle and vivid picture of the moment of changing seasons, when spring has just arrived, bringing with it magical changes. The author uses an emotional writing style, combining delicate poetic images to evoke a spring full of vitality and joy spreading in every scene, every moment of everyday life.

Right from the first lines, the poem opens up a peaceful countryside scene, where green fields stretch endlessly: "On the vast green fields / I hear the joyful flapping of the nightingale's wings flying in the shape of a silk strip". The image of a nightingale flying is likened to “a princess’s belt” evoking softness, grace, both real and romantic. This dreamy comparison not only enriches the imagery but also emphasizes the gentleness and purity that spring brings.

That natural scene is further emphasized through the image of the bud, a symbol of fertility and rebirth: "Spring suddenly comes from a bud of the banyan tree/ Like an eye waking up after a thousand days of waiting". This detail not only represents the transition of time but also the awakening of new vitality. The small bud is like “an eye waking up after a thousand days of waiting”. This is how Binh Nguyen Trang evokes the hidden power in the simple things of nature.

Not only stopping at images, the author also creates a space filled with sounds and very special feelings: "Strangely, the wind keeps blowing passionately/Seemingly filling the fields"…The poem brings a subtle vibration before the harmony of nature. The wind not only brings the warmth of spring but also breathes new life into every blade of grass, every field. Words like “passionate” and “full” not only describe but also make the reader feel the fullness and vitality.

From natural scenery, the poem gradually moves to human life, where spring permeates every simple moment: "I hear in my heart like a bell / At five o'clock in the morning it suddenly rings magically". The sound of that “bell” is the beat of joy, of new beginnings that spring brings. The quiet of the early morning is broken by a gentle echo, creating a truly sacred and pure atmosphere.

The author is also very subtle when putting the image of peach blossoms in front of the house:“In front of the house, peach blossoms are pink like the cheeks of a drunkard/ And the lazy cat walks from the kitchen to the yard.”The pink color of peach blossoms is compared to "the cheeks of a drunkard", both radiant and fresh, and imbued with a hint of passion and infatuation.

The special point in the poem is the association of spring with warm family moments:“So many dreams return on the wings of spring/ In a moment, mother seems young again.”Spring not only brings vitality to nature but also revives emotions in each person. The image of a mother standing in front of the house, her hair flying in the wind, is a symbol of youth and love of life awakened by spring.

At the end of the poem, Binh Nguyen Trang leads the reader into a space filled with joy and life:“After the rain the ground has magic/ The sun shines brightly in the cold garden/ And laughter remains in the house, in the pot of crackling cakes…”.The expression “the ground has magic” is not only a description of the scenery after the rain, but also implies the rebirth, hope and miracles that spring brings. Sunshine, laughter, the sound of the pot of rice cakes are all warm sounds, making the family space closer and filled with happiness.

The poem uses a simple writing style but is rich in imagery and rhythm. Comparisons and metaphors are used subtly to depict a vivid spring in terms of sight, hearing and feeling. The combination of natural scenery and human life makes the poem not only describe spring but also evoke deep emotions in the reader's heart.

“Spring” by Binh Nguyen Trang is not only a bright picture of spring but also a symphony of simple joys in life. Through each word, the author conveys a profound message that spring is not only present in the fields, in the wind, in the flowers, but also in family affection, in the joy of daily life.
