"I am an amateur actor, acting by instinct. But now, I am happy to be called an actor by many people. Besides making TV series, I also participate in short films, comedies, and music videos on social media platforms.
I will soon create my own channel on YouTube. I do it because I like it and want to contribute, not for the salary," Jimmii Khanh said.
Although he was only invited to play supporting roles, the actor said he was not sad because even though his role was small and he appeared infrequently, it was sometimes the highlight of the film. A typical example is the role of Chairman Dot in the film.Missing someonehelped him win the 2017 Golden Kite Award forBest Supporting Actor.
Talking about his appearance, only 1.49m tall, Jimmii Khanh shared that when he first acted in the film, many people called him "the shortest actor on VTV". After that, there were many comments discussing his appearance.
At first, the actor also felt sad and hurt because the audience commented on his appearance. But being a humorous and optimistic person, Jimmii Khanh did not pay much attention to such comments anymore.
"Now the audience says I have a "unique" appearance. After nearly 10 years of being an actor, the audience is probably familiar with my face and appearance so they don't find it strange anymore," Jimmii Khanh confided.
Jimmii Khanh said that when he was in school, his friends often teased him as short, shorty, giraffe Khanh... He believes that being short is a "brand" that not everyone can have.
Now, he feels proud of his height, which many directors remember and invite him to act in more films. Instead of feeling self-conscious or embarrassed, the actor feels comfortable when comparing his height with other actors in the film crew.
Jimmii Khanh added that being only 1.49m tall, he also has some trouble buying clothes. The actor often goes to children's clothing stores to buy or have ready-made clothes tailored to fit his body shape.
Jimmii Khanh's wife is named Mai Anh, 1.65m tall. They are in the same group of friends. Because Jimmii Khanh has a humorous and easy-going personality, his wife is the one who takes the initiative to flirt with him.
"Few people thought that I would marry a 1.65m tall wife because when we stood next to each other, the height difference was huge. At first, both families objected. Overcoming the criticism, we decided to get married.
On the wedding day, I had to wear 9cm high heels but was still shorter than the bride. That is a memory that my husband and I will always remember," the actor humorously recalled.
Currently, the couple no longer cares about height but only hopes that when their two daughters grow up, they will inherit their mother's genes.

Jimmii Khanh said he quit his wedding photography career 3 years ago. His main job now is acting and doing other art-related work.
He said his income is enough for breakfast and coffee with friends, while his wife is still the main breadwinner at home.
"She is still supporting the family, but she still encourages her husband to continue his passion for art. I must be a lucky man to be pampered by my wife like that. When I film with a pretty actress, I always "report" to my wife. She is not jealous, she just reminds me to keep a distance when acting," Jimmii Khanh said.
