At that moment, I realized how difficult and arduous the path I had chosen was, but the joy of seeing patients wake up after surgery made me feel happy with my choice.”

These are the thoughts and shares about a night on duty of Mr. Hoang Minh Hieu, class 7 of Medicine, Hai Duong Medical Technical University. These thoughts were sent by Mr. Hieu to the Contest "Medical profession in me" organized by the Student Association of Hai Duong Medical Technical University on the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, February 27. The contest aims to share beautiful, impressive, meaningful moments of the medical profession along with inspirational stories.

This contest is just one of many creative and innovative activities of the Youth Union and Student Association of Hai Duong University of Medical Technology to attract student participation.

Over the past 3 years, the School's Youth Union and Association have gradually shifted their activities to the faculty level, meeting the needs of students in the same major, promoting professional capacity while still clearly demonstrating the creativity of youth.

The Youth Union and Student Association of Sao Do University also organize many creative competitions for students. In May 2023, the Student Association organized the bilingual speech contest "GenZ and digital transformation". Many entries invested in elaborate scripts and images of speeches about digital transformation in many different languages ​​such as English, Chinese, Japanese, etc. The contest attracted more than 10,000 interactions on social networking platforms.

In addition, there are also scientific creativity competitions for students, Sao Do student photo contest joining hands to fight Covid-19, In ​​the eyes of SUD'er video contest... which have brought many positive effects.

With timely adaptation and innovation, in recent years, programs and events organized by the Youth Union and Association of Sao Do University have attracted many members and students to participate, spreading the image of the school on many media channels.

Let students take control

Based on students' wishes, from the end of 2022, Hai Duong University will organize seminars and talks on topics. With the support of the Youth Union and Association, students come up with their own ideas, create spaces, and invite speakers to share their experiences. With a scale of 35-50 students, each seminar discusses a different topic such as how to design an effective job application CV, part-time job opportunities for students in Hai Duong... This is a very practical activity, preparing students before graduation.

The school's clubs are also very active, attracting a large number of students to participate.

Mr. Tran Anh Quan, a student of Business Administration class K11, Head of the Media and Arts Club at the school, said: "We students want to move towards more attractive activities, promoting a proactive and creative spirit."

Ms. Do Thanh Huyen, President of the Student Association of Hai Duong University, said that the activities of the Union and Association are gradually shifting from passive implementation and participation, out of responsibility, to empowering students proactively. Students will propose initiatives, programs and proactively build them according to topics and themes. After approval, the students themselves will implement the program, while the Union and Association will guide, accompany and support.

Hai Duong currently has 8 universities and colleges with 7,358 students and 6,693 employees. members. In recent years, the Youth Union and Student Association of some universities in Hai Duong have had many good and creative ways to attract students to participate. Activities are aimed at students' aspirations and passions, maximizing the talents and creative ideas of Gen Z in various fields. Activities are gradually shifting from traditional to modern forms, applying information technology, associated with digital transformation.

Ms. Duong Thi Huong Giang, Deputy Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union, said that activities to create an environment for students to practice are organized regularly, increasingly practical, creating a vibrant emulation movement. To attract students, the Youth Union and Student Association of Hai Duong province have directed the Youth Union and Association at all levels to diversify forms of exchanging learning methods, organize many cultural and artistic activities for students. Build and promote foreign language and information technology clubs, groups, teams, and groups, creating an environment for students to practice English, information technology, and improve digital skills.
