Attending the 12th Congress of the Youth Union, taking place from December 14-16 in Hanoi, delegates of the "gen Z" generation shared many emotions, thoughts and suggestions to continue building a strong Youth Union organization.

The 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2022-2027, took place from December 14-16, in Hanoi, with the slogan of action: "Aspiration - Solidarity - Courage - Pioneering - Creativity."
The Congress was attended by 981 delegates representing more than 22 million Vietnamese youth union members at home and abroad. The average age of delegates attending the Congress was 30.36 years old, including many young delegates still in high school. On the sidelines of the Congress, delegates of the "gen Z" generation shared many emotions, thoughts and suggestions to continue building a strong Youth Union organization.
Delegate Trinh Ngoc Anh, Muong ethnic group (student of Hoang Van Thu High School, Hoa Binh Province Youth Union) shared: "In my locality, there are many friends who do not have the conditions to go to school fully, many friends have to drop out of school because their families are too poor. My small dream is to study really well in the future and have many conditions to return to my hometown to help people."
Bringing many expectations to this Congress, delegate Ngoc Anh said she felt very proud and aware of her responsibility to try harder in studying and training to strive for the future, become a useful citizen, and contribute to building the country.
The young delegate expressed: "I see that in many disadvantaged ethnic minority areas, they do not have the same learning conditions as students in the lowlands, especially in big cities. I hope they receive more support to improve their lives and have equal learning conditions compared to the lowlands. I hope that the Youth Union, agencies, departments, branches, and organizations will pay more attention to the cultural and spiritual life of ethnic minority youth."
Is a student of the schoolHigh SchoolTien Yen, Quang Ninh province, delegate Do Truong Phuc (San Diu ethnic group) attended the Congress with the desire to contribute to bringing a "new wave" of youth: "In the coming time, I hope the Youth Union will have innovations and creativity in its work, organize many diverse and practical activities and playgrounds such as clubs, associations, groups... so that young people can get closer to Youth Union activities and expand their knowledge. At the same time, I hope the Youth Union will pay more attention to ethnic minority members, supporting them to have the opportunity to develop their skills equally and be confident in the context of the country's integration."
Attending the 12th National Youth Union Congress, Tran Ngoc Van Trang (SchoolHigh SchoolPhan Boi Chau Youth Union, Nghe An Province) is one of the youngest delegates. Sharing her expectations, Van Trang hopes that the Congress will propose directions and take advantage of the strong influence of science and technology in implementing Youth Union movements.
Besides, Van Trang also hopes that in the new term, the Youth Union will implement many solutions to catch up with the trend of the fourth industrial revolution era to make it easier to approach union members and young people, creating closeness and intimacy to contribute to spreading the spirit of "Aspiration - Pioneer - Courage - Solidarity - Creativity" of Vietnamese youth.
Van Trang also shared that after this Congress, she will propose to the School Youth Union Executive Committee to organize a number of meetings with Youth Union officers in the school to disseminate the tasks and important contents of the 12th National Youth Union Congress, and to deploy activities and competitions to celebrate the success of the Congress.
"I think the school's Youth Union will propose measures to create attraction for the Youth Union movement at school, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit and enthusiasm to the youth union members in particular and the young generation in general," Van Trang confided.
