The Ministry of Home Affairs is seeking public opinion to propose awarding the title "Hero of Labor" to Mr. Mai Duc Chung, head coach of the Vietnam National Women's Football Team.
On October 4, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has Document No. 241 submitted to the Prime Minister for consideration and submitted to the President to award the title "Hero of Labor" to Mr. Mai Duc Chung, head coach of the Vietnam National Women's Football Team, Vietnam Football Federation.
Pursuant to Decree No. 98/2023 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation, the Ministry of Home Affairs solicits public opinion on awarding the title "Hero of Labor" to Mr. Mai Duc Chung.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, comments should be sent to the Central Emulation and Reward Committee (address: 103 Quan Thanh, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) before October 18.
During his time as head coach of the Vietnam Women's National Football Team, coach Mai Duc Chung and his players won 6 SEA Games gold medals. Including 4 consecutive gold medals after competing at the 32nd SEA Games.
In particular, Mr. Mai Duc Chung brought the Vietnam Women's Team to the 2023 Women's World Cup for the first time.
