Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban requested Hai Duong City to speed up the site clearance progress for the project to renovate and expand Vu Cong Dan Street, phase 2.
On the afternoon of November 13, Hai Duong City People's Committee held a conference to remove difficulties and obstacles in site clearance for the project to renovate and expand Vu Cong Dan Street, through Tu Thong area.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Luu Van Ban, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested the Hai Duong City People's Committee to immediately review the origin of the land to promptly develop a compensation and support plan for the people.
To speed up the site clearance progress, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that when determining the origin of the land, it is necessary to develop a compensation and support plan immediately.
Contractors need to prepare equipment and machinery to speed up progress when the site is clean.
People whose land is subject to land clearance and recovery need to coordinate and reach consensus with local authorities during the implementation process.
The Vu Cong Dan Street Renovation and Expansion Project has a total investment of 1,042 billion VND with a length of more than 1.6 km and a width of 33 m.
To implement this project, Hai Duong City must reclaim more than 5.2 hectares of land.
The project is divided into two phases of land clearance. Hai Duong City has completed land clearance for route 1 and handed over 1.15 km of road to the construction unit; land clearance for route 2 through Tu Thong area, 467 m long, is underway.
According to the report of Hai Duong City People's Committee, to clear the site for route 2, it is necessary to recover more than 1.5 hectares of land from 68 households and public land plots and irrigation traffic managed by Tu Minh Ward People's Committee.
The land clearance process encountered some difficulties. That was when implementing phase 1 of the project applying the 2013 Land Law. When implementing phase 2 according to the 2024 Land Law, some support policies are no longer the same as phase 1.
