A man driving a car using a fake license plate on the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway was discovered by the police and fined 28 million VND.
At around 11:00 a.m. on March 16, at the toll station area in the direction of Hai Phong - Hanoi, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department) stopped and checked a 7-seat car with license plate 30K - 389.99.
The 38-year-old male driver, residing in Hai Duong, was able to present his driver's license. However, the registration mortgage receipt he presented showed that the car had a 60K license plate from Dong Nai province.
Police determined that the license plate 30K - 389.99 was fake. The driver was fined 28 million VND for changing lanes without signaling on the highway, driving a vehicle with a license plate that did not match the vehicle registration certificate, and had 10 points deducted from his driver's license.
The vehicle owner was also fined 23 million VND.
