A fire broke out in a protective forest area in Pha Lai ward (Chi Linh, Hai Duong) at night, but authorities promptly extinguished it.
According to information obtained by Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, at around 9:00 p.m. on November 30, a forest fire broke out at the Binh Giang slag dam area in Pha Lai ward (Chi Linh city).
Forest rangers discovered a fire at the site during a night patrol.
Immediately, forces from the Chi Linh City Forest Protection Department, the Forest Management Board (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), the People's Committee of Pha Lai Ward, the police and the army coordinated to clear trees, create a runway to prevent the fire from spreading and put out the fire.
By around 10:30 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control. Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
According to a source from Hai Duong Newspaper, the fire damaged about 1 hectare of protective forest. After storm No. 3, this area had many fallen acacia and eucalyptus trees, with dry leaves and thick undergrowth.
