Even though the car was scratched, the owner still felt happy after reading the note left by the person who caused the collision.
At noon on January 21, in Hoa Xuan ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city, a touching story happened and quickly spread on social networks.
According to the shared clip, a male student riding a bicycle accidentally collided with the back of a car parked on the side of Me Thu Street. Although he fell onto the road, the boy was fortunately not injured and left shortly afterwards.
However, just a few minutes later, the male student returned and left a note apologizing to the car owner: "I'm sorry for scratching your car. I was not paying attention when I was going to school and hit you." Along with it was a 200,000 VND bill.
When the car owner read the note, he was not angry. On the contrary, he took a picture and shared the story on social media, praising the male student's kind act.
The online community also gave much praise to the boy's sense of responsibility, and reminded students to pay more attention when participating in traffic.
Ms. Le Ngo My Hanh, the car owner, said she was very emotional when she discovered the piece of paper and the 200,000 VND bill. She said her husband had parked the car in front of the house and when she came home, she discovered the incident.
Ms. Hanh and her husband extracted the camera and guessed that the boy, about 13 years old, might have gone home to tell the story and asked his parents for money to return to "compensate" the car owner.
"The male student's apology is truly a beautiful act, this proves that he has had a very good upbringing environment. In this situation, I cannot be angry with him, because he is still young, riding a bicycle sometimes loses balance and accidentally crashes, I am glad he is not injured", Ms. Hanh shared.
Ms. Hanh also expressed her wish to meet the male student again to thank him and return the money because her car had auto insurance.
