On the morning of December 11, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association held a press conference to inform about the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association, term 2023 - 2028.
From December 18 to 20, 696 delegates representing more than 1.7 million Vietnamese members and students at home and abroad will gather in Hanoi to attend the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Students' Association (VSA), term 2023-2028.
Among the 696 delegates, there are 65 talented delegates; 87 ethnic minority delegates; and 1 delegate is a National Assembly delegate. The rate of delegates achieving the title of 5-good students increased dramatically, of which, 5-good students at the school level doubled, 5-good students at the provincial level increased 4 times, and 5-good students at the central level increased 4.5 times.
The composition of delegates attending the congress is very diverse, besides the Association officials and outstanding students, there are also famous faces such as: Miss Grand Vietnam Thien An; swimmer, TikToker Nguyen Thien Khiem owns a social network channel with hundreds of thousands of followers... In addition, within the framework of the Congress, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association will also announce the launch of the Advisory Council to accompany students for the 2023-2028 term.
With the slogan of action: "Vietnamese students: Strong identity - Rich aspirations - Creating the future - Building the country", the Congress took place in 2.5 days, including 4 working sessions.
The Congress will focus on discussing, giving opinions and voting to approve 3 main contents, including: Summarizing and evaluating the work of the Association and the student movement for the 2018-2023 term, determining the goals, tasks and solutions for the Association and the student movement for the 2023-2028 term; negotiating to elect the Executive Committee, Secretariat and Inspection Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, 11th tenure. The Congress will also receive and listen to the direction of the leaders of the Party, the State, and the Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. These will be important orientations and policies to guide the development of the Association and the Vietnamese student movement in the next 5 years (2023-2028).
Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, said: The 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association, term 2023 - 2028, is the highest leadership body of the Vietnam Student Association, an important political event of Vietnamese students; demonstrating the aspirations and will of students in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The 11th Congress is a congress applying information technology and digital technology. For the first time, the Vietnam Student Association has built and deployed a common application for all congresses and conferences from the grassroots level.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet said: "Digital transformation application is a continuous requirement, for students, digital transformation is required more."
Delegates' data information will be stored and updated from the Congress, the grassroots conference, to the provincial and city levels, and then to the Central Congress, creating convenience and science in managing, using and analyzing data of delegates attending the Congress.
The Congress will also host an Exhibition with the theme “Vietnamese Students - Building the Future - Building the Country”, maximizing the application of digital technology to display documents, images, and stories in a vivid and intuitive way about the history of the student movement and the Vietnam Student Association from the past to the present.
