Hanoi University of Science and Technology increases tuition fees, highest at 90 million VND/year

Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced its 2023 enrollment plan, including detailed information on tuition fees for majors/training programs ranging from 23 - 90 million VND/year.

Accordingly, the tuition fee of 23 - 29 million VND/year is applied by Hanoi University of Science and Technology for students of the standard program, enrolling in 2023 (an average increase of 1 million VND/school year compared to the payment of the previous school year).

Tuition fees are divided into 5 groups of majors/training programs by Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Group 1, majors of Mechanics, Electricity - Electronics, Information Technology, Mathematics - Information Technology, Biology - Food, standard training system have tuition fees from 26 - 29 million VND.

Group 2, majors of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environment, Materials, Technical Physics, Textiles, Management Economics, Educational Technology tuition fees from 23 - 26 million VND/year.

Group 3, high-quality programs, ELITECH from 33 - 42 million VND/school year, specifically Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Logistics and Supply Chain Management programs have tuition fees of 57 - 58 million VND/school year.

Group 4, international professional English dual degree program pays 45 million VND/school year (including registration fee).

Group 5, programs with other foreign language output standards (international programs) and international training partnerships (foreign partners award degrees) have a tuition fee of 25 to 30 million VND/semester (for TROY-BA and TROY-IT programs, each academic year has 3 semesters, the highest tuition fee will be around 75 - 90 million VND/year).

Hanoi University of Science and Technology also clearly stipulates that tuition fees can be adjusted for the following school years, but not increase by more than 8% - 10% per year.

To support disadvantaged students, the school has set aside about 60-70 billion VND to create a scholarship fund to encourage learning for students with good academic and training results. Scholarships are considered per semester based on academic and training results at three levels: good - poor - excellent.

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology recruits 7,985 full-time university students, of which 15 - 20% are based on talent selection, 85 - 90% are based on exam scores (high school graduation exam and Thinking Assessment exam).

The school also opened 3 new enrollment codes: Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology, Polymer and Composite Materials Technology, and advanced Bioengineering program (taught in English).

Regarding the thinking assessment exam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology organized 3 exam sessions on June 10, June 17 and July 8 at 9 exam clusters: Hanoi (10 universities and academies); Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang.

The thinking assessment test is adjusted to be concise (150 minutes), with 3 parts: Mathematical thinking (60 minutes), Reading comprehension (30 minutes) and Scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes). Questions are designed according to a thinking scale with 3 levels: level 1 - Reproducible thinking; level 2 - Deductive thinking; level 3 - Higher order thinking.

Candidates will take the test entirely on the computer in the form of multiple choice tests, with many types of questions: Choose the correct option; Choose true or false answers; fill in the answers; drag/drop answers.
