The theme of taking care of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025 is "Happy Tet - Spring of gratitude to the Party" with the motto that all union members and workers have Tet.
In order to better care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) has just issued Plan No. 133 on organizing activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. The theme of caring for the Lunar New Year 2025 is "A happy Tet - Spring thanks to the Party" with the motto that all union members and workers have Tet.
The beneficiaries of Tet care are all union members and workers, with priority given to those in particularly difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, those whose working hours have been reduced, those who have lost their jobs, those who are owed wages and bonuses; those from families with preferential policies, ethnic minorities, and those who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet for many years...
According to the plan, the organization must diversify and flexibly provide care, focusing on the grassroots level, paying attention to and supporting people working in industrial parks, export processing zones, economic zones; living and working in remote areas, border areas, islands, and areas with difficult economic and social conditions; in enterprises facing difficulties due to economic recession, having orders cut or reduced, production scale reduced, temporarily suspended, dissolved, bankrupt, unpaid wages, unpaid bonuses, etc.
Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, emphasized that care activities must ensure practicality, safety, efficiency, economy, compliance with regulations, create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, suitable to local conditions, units, and enterprises, towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, welcoming Party Congresses at all levels, and moving towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
With the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party", focusing on the grassroots level and above, suitable to the actual situation, ensuring safety, savings, efficiency, attracting many union members and workers to participate.
Provincial and municipal labor federations, central and equivalent industry unions, and general corporation unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organize the program "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" directly to provide essential, quality goods and services at preferential prices, give away shopping vouchers, give away products at "0 VND" prices, discount, organize cultural and sports activities, give gifts, provide health consultation, provide free medicine, etc. for union members and workers.
The "2025 Trade Union Tet Market" program will also be organized online to provide essential products, goods and services to serve the Tet needs of union members and workers quickly, conveniently, at preferential prices, and with guaranteed quality.
The General Confederation of Labor also directed a number of provincial and municipal labor federations to organize the program "Trade Union Train - Spring 2025" to support about 2,000 two-way train tickets (outgoing and returning); the General Confederation of Labor organized the program "Trade Union Flight - Spring 2025" to support about 400 one-way air tickets for union members and workers working in southern localities to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet in northern localities.
Provincial and municipal labor federations, central and equivalent industry unions, general corporation unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, trade unions directly above the grassroots level, and grassroots trade unions, based on the actual situation and financial resources of the locality and unit, organize activities to support all or part of the transportation costs for workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet and return to their workplaces in a safe, convenient, and thoughtful manner.
