The collection of dresses features styles by several famous fashion designers such as Victor Edelstein, Murray Arbeid and Catherine Walker. Among the highlights are the blue Arbeid gown that the late Princess Diana wore to the premiere of "The Phantom of the Opera" in London in 1986 and a red lace dress by Edelstein. According to Julien's Auctions, these two outfits are expected to fetch up to $400,000.

The auction also includes shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo, Kurt Geiger and Rayne, handwritten letters from the late Princess Diana, and other items related to the British Royal Family. The collection also includes dozens of items that Princess Diana sold months before her death in a traffic accident in 1997. The items were toured around the world before being auctioned.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles married in 1981 in a lavish wedding watched by 750 million people on television. However, the couple divorced in 1996 and a year later Princess Diana died in France in a traffic accident.

The late Princess remains a style icon to this day, and her fame and glamour continue to attract millions of fans. A dress she wore sold for $1.14 million at auction last year.
