The auction will take place on September 26 at the Drouot Hotel in Paris. The King of Pop Michael Jackson's fedora is expected to fetch between 60,000 and 100,000 euros ($64,000 and $107,000).

Michael Jackson tossed this hat while performing his hit "Billie Jean" on a televised Motown concert in 1983. It was at the height of his fame.

Arthur Perault, auctioneer at the Artpeges gallery, said a man named Adam Kelly picked up the hat, thinking that the singer's assistants would come and get it, but they didn't. Mr Kelly kept the hat for several years. It then passed through several private collectors before ending up in Paris.

Auctioneer Arthur Perault admitted that although the fedora was considered very valuable among about 200 Michael Jackson memorabilia, the value of the legend's memorabilia has recently decreased due to the problem of counterfeit sales and the allegations against him.

In 2018, the shoes Michael Jackson wore during his first moonwalk were also auctioned. The shoes were given by Michael Jackson to choreographer and dancer Lester Wilson. They were then kept in a private collection for many years before being auctioned.

Other items being auctioned include the guitar of legendary blues artist T-Bone Walker, which is expected to fetch up to 150,000 euros; the outfit of artist Martin Gore of the band Depeche Mode and one of Madonna's gold records...

Additionally, a section of the Bus Palladium wall, a Paris venue that closed last year, signed by several rock stars including members of The Libertines, Air and The Dandy Warhols, is also up for auction with an estimated price of 5,000 to 8,000 euros.

Also this month, a series of auctions of items belonging to British singer-songwriter Freddie Mercury raised a total of 46.5 million euros at an auction organized by Sotheby's. The event attracted dozens of participants from 76 countries.
