George Glory International Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hong Phuc - Hung Long Industrial Park (Ninh Giang) was fined nearly 500 million VND for 3 environmental violations.
On January 22, the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment signed a decision to fine George Glory International Vietnam Co., Ltd. in the Hong Phuc - Hung Long Industrial Park (Ninh Giang) nearly VND500 million for environmental violations. Of which, the company was fined VND320 million for not having an environmental license when implementing the project as prescribed; VND150 million for discharging wastewater containing normal environmental parameters exceeding technical standards on waste from 1.5 to less than 3 times in the case of discharging wastewater of 40 m3/day and night; and VND15 million for not preparing a report on environmental protection work in 2021 as prescribed.
In addition, the company was also suspended from operating the source of waste without an environmental license for 4.5 months from the date of receiving the decision and forced to pay more than 13 million VND in fees for consulting environmental sample analysis for 1 wastewater sample exceeding environmental technical standards.
George Glory International Vietnam Co., Ltd. was first granted a business registration certificate in January 2019. The representative is Mr. Chen, Hsien Jung, General Director. The company is implementing the project of George Glory Vietnam high-end leather and footwear factory in Hong Phuc - Hung Long industrial park.
