After more than a month of selling train tickets for the 2024 Lunar New Year, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) announced that there are still many seats available to serve passengers during this occasion.
Accordingly, the railway industry started selling Lunar New Year 2024 tickets from October 20 with a total of 200,000 tickets supplied. To date, the railway industry has sold over 81,000 tickets. Thus, there are still about 119,000 train tickets available for Tet.
“Train tickets for the 2024 Lunar New Year are still available on all routes and days. Passengers who want to buy tickets can contact the stations, through ticket sales websites, on e-wallet applications, train ticket sales apps and through the ticket sales hotline,” railway representative said.

The railway industry also announced that it is currently applying many preferential policies to support train passengers: Discounts for social policy beneficiaries, trade unions, passengers with customer cards; 3% discount on ticket prices for trains departing from Saigon station on February 8, 2024 (ie December 29 of the lunar calendar) and traveling from 1,000 km or more; 5% discount on return ticket prices for passengers buying round-trip tickets. In particular, students will receive a 10% to 20% discount on ticket prices depending on the date of travel.

In a related development, the railway industry also said that in order to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the formation and development of Da Lat city (1893 - 2023), to serve tourists visiting Da Lat station and taking the ancient train Da Lat - Trai Mat, Vietnam Railways Corporation organized many activities to attract passengers.
Specifically, installing wifi, serving free drinks on the train; arranging free photographers to take pictures and film for passengers at the station and on the train; especially every day on the Da Lat - Trai Mat train, there will be a music concert from musicians from December 1 to December 31.
