On the morning of March 17, Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society and Tien Phong Newspaper to organize the 16th "Red Sunday" voluntary blood donation program in 2024 at the Central Cultural House of Tu Ky district.
This year's "Red Sunday" voluntary blood donation program with the theme "Donate blood to save lives - Your life and mine" attracted more than 700 people, officials, civil servants, union members, and youth to participate in voluntary blood donation. The organizing committee collected 380 units of blood.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded commemorative medals of gratitude to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in spreading the voluntary blood donation movement to Nguyen Giap Commune Delegation and Mr. Pham Quang Dung, Deputy Head of the Legal Committee of Tu Ky District People's Council.
The “Red Sunday” voluntary blood donation program is an annual activity launched by Tien Phong Newspaper and implemented in many provinces and cities across the country. This year, the program will be held from November 2023 to the end of March 2024 in 45 provinces and cities. It is expected that more than 100,000 people will participate and receive about 45,000 - 50,000 units of blood.
This is the 5th time Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union, Provincial Red Cross Society and Tien Phong Newspaper have coordinated to organize the above program.
