On the evening of February 24, according to the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan District (Hanoi), immediately after the housing project at No. 22, Alley 236/17, Khuong Dinh Street, Ha Dinh Ward was at risk of affecting the safety of exploitation and use, the Thanh Xuan District Party Committee directed the Chairman of the District People's Committee along with specialized departments, leaders of the Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Ha Dinh Ward to go to the scene to inspect and survey the current status of the housing project at the above address.

With the spirit of putting people's safety and lives first, Thanh Xuan district leaders unanimously directed and issued a document recommending that people in the building move, and at the same time sent forces to support the move when people requested.

The district's recommendation has been agreed upon and supported by the residents. By the end of February 24, all residents had evacuated from the building to ensure safety.

Also on February 24, Thanh Xuan District People's Committee issued Document No. 382/UBND-QLDT requesting land users, house owners and other assets attached to land at the above address to hire a qualified and competent consulting unit according to regulations to organize surveys, quality inspections, and assess the level of danger of the project in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of Circular 10/2021/TT-BXD dated August 25, 2021 of the Ministry of Construction on guiding a number of articles and measures to implement Decree 06/2021/ND-CP dated January 26, 2021 and Decree 44/2016/ND-CP dated May 15, 2016 of the Government.

Along with that, Thanh Xuan District People's Committee requires land users, house owners and other properties attached to the land at the above address to hire a construction unit with sufficient capacity and conditions to organize the repair and reinforcement of the works according to regulations, ensuring safe use; when repairing and reinforcing the works, measures must be taken to ensure safety for people and the works.

After the repair and reinforcement, the inspection unit and relevant agencies must evaluate the safety before continuing to put the project into use. The District People's Committee also assigned the task to the Ha Dinh Ward People's Committee to supervise the above implementation.

According to some residents, since the 30th of Tet, people living in the building discovered that the columns on the first floor were cracked.

Specifically, two columns under the parking lot have cracks running horizontally from the base of the column to the ceiling, causing residents living here to worry about their safety if an incident occurs.

This mini apartment building has eight floors, about 60 apartments, and was put into use in 2017. Up to now, some items of the building have been degraded, especially the load-bearing part under the first floor.

Currently, the authorities have reinforced the iron scaffolding system around the base of the degraded house columns.

Residents of the building hope the problem will be resolved soon so they can return, ensuring their jobs and daily lives.
