Violence on the border between Israel and Lebanon has forced tens of thousands of people to flee on both sides and raised fears of an escalation of the conflict.
On February 14, the Israeli military announced that its warplanes had "begun a series of attacks in Lebanon", raising concerns about an escalation of the war after months of cross-border fighting.
The Israeli military did not provide further details about the airstrike, which came hours after fire from Lebanon into northern Israel killed one person and wounded seven others.
Earlier, on the evening of February 13, Secretary General of the Hezbollah Movement in Lebanon, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah, announced that this armed group will only stop attacking Northern Israel when the country ends its military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
The Lebanon-Israel border area has been witnessing increasing tensions since the outbreak of the conflict between the Hamas Islamist movement and Israel on October 7 last year.
