Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and local forces were mobilized to fight the "fire" all night at the scene of the fire in Hai Ba Trung district. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
At around 9:30 p.m. on October 16, a fire broke out at a factory located in lane 124 Vinh Tuy (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi).
Within minutes of starting, the fire had spread to a large area and was threatening to affect nearby homes. Black smoke could be seen from afar.
Upon receiving the news, dozens of specialized fire trucks with modern equipment, Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Hai Ba Trung, Ba Dinh, Long Bien, Hoang Mai Districts... were mobilized to the scene to urgently organize fire prevention and extinguish the fire.
Because the factory contained many flammable materials, the police force encountered many difficulties in extinguishing the fire.
At around 11pm, the intense fire caused the warehouse wall to collapse. Residents in the area climbed onto the metal roof to monitor the fire, ready to evacuate their belongings.
By 0:10 on October 17, the fire was basically under control but smoke was still billowing. Authorities continuously sprayed water to cool the area and prevent the fire from flaring up again.
Initially, there were no reports of casualties. The fire was in a warehouse of about 300 square meters, including a glass factory, a paper warehouse, and a cosmetics warehouse.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
