Before the information that domestically assembled cars could have their registration fees reduced by 50% on August 1, Volkswagen Teramont X has already reduced the registration fee by 50% for Vietnamese customers.

In order to stimulate the market before the policy of reducing 50% of registration fees for assembled cars is applied, Volkswagen Vietnam launched a 50% registration fee incentive program for the Volkswagen Teramont X model. Thus, the registration fees of the two versions Volkswagen Teramont X Luxury priced at VND 1.998 billion and Volkswagen Teramont X Platinum priced at VND 2.168 billion will be reduced by VND 119.88 million and VND 130.08 million respectively if registered in Hanoi.

This program will be applied until July 31 and is considered a great incentive for customers interested in luxury SUVs.

The Volkswagen Teramont X has dimensions of 4,917 mm, 1,989 mm and 1,729 mm respectively. Along with that, the wheelbase of the car also reaches 2,980 mm and has only 5 seats instead of 7 seats like the Volkswagen Teramont. Accordingly, this decree is expected to take effect from August 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025. If the proposal is approved, the registration fee for domestically produced and assembled cars will be reduced by 50% as in the previous 3 times (in 2020, 2022 and 2023).
