In An Lam commune, Nam Sach district (Hai Duong), a 5-year-old child died from drowning.
According to information from local authorities, at around 6 p.m. on October 9, D.M.K. was found drowned in a pond near the gate of An Lam Kindergarten, near the An Lam Commune cemetery. K. was taken to the emergency room but died.
K. was born in 2019 in Uong Thuong village, Minh Tan commune (Nam Sach), is a 5-year-old student at An Lam Kindergarten (same Nam Sach district).
Before that, K. was taken to An Lam Kindergarten as usual. K.'s class had 2 teachers in charge. At around 4:30 p.m., relatives came to pick K. up but K. was nowhere to be found. Images from the camera showed that K. had gone outside the school at around 4 p.m. when the teachers were dropping off the children.
An Lam Commune Police and local people urgently searched and found K. in a pond near the school.
K. is slow to speak. His mother is a factory worker and his father works abroad.
Local authorities, some agencies, departments and branches of Nam Sach district visited, encouraged, supported and expressed condolences to K's family.
