The thousand-year-old wild cinnamon tree is considered the world's rarest and most unique "divine tree" in Bac Giang.

Professor, Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, said: "In the French Larousse Encyclopedia in 1932, they said that there are only two rare wild cinnamon trees in the world, one in Africa and one in Vietnam. We have asked people in Lang Giang to try to protect the trees well."

According to Professor Dang Huy Huynh, the wild rosewood tree not only has cultural value but also historical value. The most important thing is that the Vietnamese people protect it to show gratitude to their ancestors who planted the wild rosewood tree thousands of years ago.

"Preserving Vietnam's ancient heritage trees is extremely important for the present and the future," the Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment emphasized.

In the past, King Le Canh Hung (1740-1786) conferred the title of “Quoc chua do moc Da Dai Vuong” (the largest wild cinnamon tree in the country). Later, in 1989, the Ministry of Culture and Information classified the wild cinnamon tree in Bac Giang as part of the national relic complex (including the wild cinnamon tree, Vien Son communal house, Phuc Quang pagoda, Thuan Hoa communal house, and Thanh Ca temple).
