There are only two ancient wild cinnamon trees in the world, one in Tien Luc commune (Bac Giang) and one in Africa, but the tree in Africa died because of worms and termites.

The thousand-year-old wild cinnamon tree is currently being preserved and conserved in Giua village (Tien Luc commune, Lang Giang, Bac Giang). The tree is considered a "divine tree" and is also the most unique and rare wild cinnamon tree in the world.

Professor, Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, said: "In the French Larousse Encyclopedia in 1932, they said that there are only two rare wild cinnamon trees in the world, one in Africa and one in Vietnam. We have asked people in Lang Giang to try to protect the trees well."
