Bac Giang is geographically located near the capital Hanoi, airport, seaport, international border gate; connected to domestic economic and tourist centers (Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen) and economic and tourist centers in Southeast China (Pingxiang, Nanning) by important traffic routes of road, rail and waterway. The locality also possesses many valuable natural and human tourism resources that can be exploited and developed for cultural - spiritual, historical - cultural, ecological - resort tourism...

The terrain here is diverse, with a combination of plains and high mountains creating beautiful natural landscapes, with potential for developing eco-tourism, exploration, resort, sports, entertainment, notably: Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve (Son Dong) with an area of ​​nearly 12,265.1 hectares (of which natural forest is 11,766.24 hectares) is the area adjacent to Yen Tu mountain (Quang Ninh province) - this place has many attractive beautiful landscapes. Khe Ro primeval forest (Son Dong) with an area of ​​7,153 hectares (of which natural forest area is 5,092 hectares) still retains its wildness with many beautiful landscapes such as: Vung Tron, ancient Banyan tree, Ba Tang waterfall and many streams. Suoi Mo Eco-tourism Area, Luc Nam district has waterfalls that foam white all year round, famous for the sacred Suoi Mo temple (Ha temple, Trung temple and Thuong temple)...

As an ancient land with a long history and culture, Bac Giang currently has 2,237 historical and cultural relics spread throughout the province; of which 735 relics have been ranked, including: 5 special national relics and relic clusters, 93 national relics, and 608 provincial relics.

Up to now, the locality has formed a number of tourist areas and spots in Bac Giang city and some districts such as: Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism area in Son Dong district, Ban Ven ecological tourism area, Yen The district. Service areas, hotel accommodation meeting 2-star and 3-star standards in Bac Giang city, Viet Yen district, Luc Nam district; forming a model of community tourism cooperatives associated with fruit growing areas in Luc Ngan district... Initially, the province built and formed the tourism product "The Path of propagating Buddhism of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist Patriarchs".

Bac Giang has basically formed and effectively exploited 4 key tourism spaces of the province including: Hanoi - Bac Giang city - Luc Ngan - Son Dong; Tay Yen Tu tourism space associated with "The Path of propagating Buddhism of Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist Patriarchs" (Son Dong, Luc Nam, Yen Dung districts); Community tourism space associated with fruit trees and tea areas of Ban Ven (Luc Ngan, Luc Nam, Tan Yen, Yen The districts); Eco-tourism, resort, entertainment space associated with golf tourism (Yen Dung, Viet Yen, Luc Nam districts). The province is actively implementing and striving to form and effectively exploit tourism, entertainment, and night-time economic spaces (in Bac Giang city and Viet Yen district) in the coming time.

Coming to Bac Giang, tourists not only visit famous historical and cultural relics, picnic at nature reserves, lakes, waterfalls... but also enjoy fresh, delicious and attractive specialties such as: Luc Ngan lychee, Yen The hill chicken, Chu noodles...

The province has focused on mobilizing investment resources for tourism development, helping Bac Giang become a new and attractive destination for tourists.

From 2021 to present, the locality has recognized 4 more tourist spots; bringing the total number of recognized tourist areas and spots in the area to 13. The whole province has 445 tourist accommodation service establishments, including 10 3-star hotels and one 4-star hotel.

However, some tourism development tasks in Bac Giang are still slow to be implemented, such as: Planning the Tay Yen Tu National Tourism Area (from Tay Yen Tu to Suoi Mo Eco-tourism Area and Vinh Nghiem Pagoda); planning the Son Dong Forest Tourism Area associated with Ha Long beach... Although the province's tourism products have improved, they have not yet created a breakthrough, and there are no products with a specific brand for local tourism. The province still lacks entertainment services, night-time shopping activities to retain and increase tourists' spending. The quality of areas, accommodation, hotels, restaurants, services, and infrastructure serving tourism is still low. The tourism human resources still lack professionalism...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son shared that from now until 2025, Bac Giang will focus on improving the quality of tourism planning; early planning of potential tourist areas and spots for management and attracting investment in tourism development. The locality actively builds and forms 4 main tourism products: Cultural - spiritual tourism; eco-tourism - resort; entertainment, recreation, sports (golf); community tourism associated with fruit growing areas, traditional craft villages, agricultural and rural products and cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO. At the same time, the province actively invites and selects potential investors to invest in large projects, build restaurants, hotels, high-end commercial centers; cultural and sports works associated with tourism development; well organize activities of one product per commune, types of eco-tourism and resorts.

The province strives to basically complete the construction of the Tay Yen Tu Spiritual Ecological Tourism Area by 2025; form the tourism product "The Path of Propagating Buddhism of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Buddhist Patriarchs"; form two walking streets, develop the night economy in Bac Giang city and some localities; renovate and build areas for planting flowers with special themes and seasons of the year at Hoang Hoa Tham Park. The locality calls for investment in 5 golf courses, at least one 5-star hotel and resort; recognize a provincial-level tourist area (Tay Yen Tu Spiritual Ecological Tourism Area), 8 community tourism spots associated with fruit trees, agricultural and rural products, bringing the total to two provincial-level tourist areas and 20 tourist spots. In 2025, the whole province aims to attract 3 million tourists; revenue reaches 3,000 billion VND; create jobs for 6,000 workers...
