U20 Iran player Safari Laksar kicked Nguyen Duc Phu in the chest but only received a yellow card.
In the 58th minute of the second half of the match between Iran U20 and Vietnam U20 on March 7, Safari Laksar played a high ball with Duc Phu. Notably, despite standing right next to the scene of the incident, referee Abdullah Jamali only issued a yellow card.
The U20 Vietnam players reacted very strongly to this decision. At the U20 Asian Cup, coach Hoang Anh Tuan's team had to face controversial decisions from the referees many times. The most notable was the penalty for U20 Qatar in the second match.
Duc Phu was kicked in the chest by his opponent.

Not only Duc Phu's situation, in the extra minutes, when U20 Vietnam pressed forward to find a goal, the referee also ignored the situation where Khuat Van Khang was knocked down near the 16m50 line and Quoc Viet collided with the opposing team in the penalty area. Immediately after the final whistle sounded, U20 Vietnam players surrounded the referee with an extremely indignant attitude.
