The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has issued a ban on Hai Phong Club fans from coming to Hang Day Stadium in the next away match against Hanoi Club in national professional tournaments.

Flares appeared in the stands for fans of Hai Phong Club during the match with Hanoi Club on August 2.

On August 4, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) issued Decisions on disciplinary action against violations by clubs in round 4, phase 2 of V-League 2023.

Specifically, two clubs, Hanoi and Hai Phong, were fined 70 million VND each for allowing spectators to set off many flares, causing insecurity and safety at Hang Day Stadium during the match on August 2.

In addition, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) also issued an order banning Hai Phong Club fans from coming to Hang Day Stadium in the next away match against Hanoi Club in national professional tournaments (including V-League and National Cup).

According to the match schedule, Hai Phong Club will not face Hanoi Club again in the 2023 national professional football season. Therefore, the penalty of banning Hai Phong Club fans from going to Hang Day Stadium will be counted in the 2024 season.

During the match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC on August 2, flares appeared in the stands for Hai Phong FC fans, forcing security forces to continuously extinguish the flares. In the chaos, the flares injured a child.

This season, Hanoi FC was fined twice for letting fans set off flares in matches against Hai Phong and Nam Dinh FC in the first phase of V-League 2023. Up to this point, the Capital FC has had to pay a fine of more than VND110 million for failing to prevent the wrongdoings of the away team's fans at Hang Day Stadium.

In addition to the penalties imposed on the two clubs above, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Disciplinary Board also imposed a fine of VND4 million on TopenLand Binh Dinh Club because seven people were given yellow cards in the match against Viettel Club on August 1.
