The Hai Duong shooting team participating in the tournament consisted of 4 coaches and 29 athletes, including 2 coaches who were also athletes. The team was assigned the target of 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 2 bronze medals, but won 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.
The individual gold medal went to shooter Nguyen Van Quan in the men's 50m rifle event, breaking the national record. The remaining gold medals went to shooters Vu Khanh Hai (coach and athlete), Phan Huu Duc, and Nguyen Van Quan in the men's 50m rifle team event.

In this tournament, veteran shooter Tran Quoc Cuong - who won the SEA Games gold medal - only won 2 silver medals in the men's 50m pistol and air pistol team, along with Nguyen Tuan Hai and Nguyen Hoai Son. The remaining silver medal was in the women's 25m pistol team event.
The 2023 National Shooting Championship will take place from November 20-30 at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi. The tournament will feature more than 270 athletes from 16 units, provinces, cities, and sectors, competing for 52 sets of medals.
