The Ministry of Health has just decided to establish 7 delegations to inspect, supervise and direct the prevention and control of dengue fever and hand, foot and mouth disease in key provinces and cities.

Accordingly, Group 1 inspected and directed the prevention and control of dengue fever and hand, foot and mouth disease in the provinces and cities of Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Tinh. The group included leaders of the Department of Preventive Medicine, representatives of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Group 2 inspected and directed the provinces of An Giang and Kien Giang. The group included leaders of the Department of Medical Environment Management, representatives of the Institute of Malaria - Parasitology - Entomology of Ho Chi Minh City, and Ho Chi Minh City Children's Hospital.
Group 3 inspected and directed the provinces: Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The group included leaders of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, representatives of the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, and Children's Hospital 2 of Ho Chi Minh City.
Delegation 4 inspected and directed the provinces of Soc Trang and Tien Giang. The delegation included leaders of the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of the Institute of Public Health of Ho Chi Minh City, and Children's Hospital 1 of Ho Chi Minh City.
Group 5 inspected and directed the provinces and cities of Binh Dinh and Binh Thuan. Members included leaders of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute, representatives of Quy Nhon Malaria - Parasitology - Entomology Institute, and Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Group 6 inspected and directed the provinces of Hai Phong and Nghe An. Members included leaders of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, representatives of the Central Institute of Malaria - Parasitology - Entomology, and the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Delegation 7 inspected and directed the provinces of Gia Lai and Dak Nong. Members included leaders of the Central Highlands Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, representatives of the Quy Nhon Institute of Malaria - Parasitology - Entomology, and the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
According to the decision of the Ministry of Health, these 7 inspection and supervision teams work with the Department of Health of provinces and cities on the prevention and control of hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue fever.
The delegation will inspect the implementation of the 2023 disease prevention and control plan; professional work on prevention: monitoring and handling of outbreaks, organizing campaigns to kill mosquito larvae, washing hands with soap; the role of authorities at all levels, mobilizing departments, branches and organizations to participate in the prevention and control of hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue fever in the locality; admission and treatment; communication and response to epidemic prevention.
The delegation will assess and comment on the situation and propose solutions to control hand, foot and mouth disease and dengue fever in the coming time.
According to the Ministry of Health's report, within 1 month (from May 19 to June 18, 2023), there were 5,383 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease nationwide. In the first 6 months of 2023, the whole country recorded 12,600,000 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease.
