On March 17, the Ministry of Health announced a list of 14 agencies and units that have changed their names and organizational structures. Of these, 10 units under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs have been transferred to the Ministry of Health.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health has issued Document No. 290/TB-BYT to ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies; People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to announce the list of agencies and units under and directly under the Ministry of Health that have changed their organization according to Plan No. 141/KH-BCĐTKNQ18 dated December 6, 2024 of the Government Steering Committee summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on orientations for arranging and streamlining the organizational structure of the Government.
The document clearly states that implementing Plan No. 141/KH-BCĐTKNQ18 dated December 6, 2024 of the Government Steering Committee summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on the orientation of arranging and streamlining the organizational structure of the Government, the Ministry of Health has submitted to the Government for promulgation Decree No. 42/2025/ND-CP dated February 27, 2025 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health also issued Decision No. 827/QD-BYT dated March 10, 2025 on receiving 10 units under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs under the management of the Ministry of Health.

1. Department of Social Protection, Ministry of Health (on the basis of merging the Department of Social Evils Prevention and Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs).
2. Department of Disease Prevention, Ministry of Health (based on the merger of the Department of Medical Environment Management, Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and Department of Preventive Medicine under the Ministry of Health).
3. Department of Maternal and Child Health, Ministry of Health (on the basis of merging the Department of Maternal and Child Health under the Ministry of Health and the Department of Children under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs).
4. Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment, Ministry of Health (renamed from Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment, Ministry of Health.
5. Hanoi Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ministry of Health.
