Binh Giang proposes to reduce the road surface of the Bac Hung Hai river overpass in Ke Sat town.

Accordingly, this unit proposed to maintain the scope, route direction, and main structure according to the approved design. Adjust and reduce the cross-section of the approach bridge and the approach road from the bridge head to the end of the route (Quang Trung street side).

Specifically, the width of the structural surface is reduced from 4 m to 3.5 m (each side is reduced by 25 cm, the road surface is 3 m, the railings on both sides are 0.25 m/side). Thus, the current part of Quang Trung Street is expanded by 25 cm on each side compared to the original design.

The reason for having to adjust the design plan is because many households in Zone 4, Ke Sat town believe that some of the original design contents of the project are not suitable, directly affecting the lives, activities and businesses of many households around here.

Previously, on April 26, the People's Committee of Binh Giang district issued a document temporarily suspending the investment in the Bac Hung Hai River Overpass Construction Project in Ke Sat town. The People's Committee of the district assigned the District Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with the People's Committee of Ke Sat town to survey, study and collect public opinions, and report to the People's Committee of the district on the plan to continue construction.

The project to build a bridge over the Bac Hung Hai River in Ke Sat town was approved by the People's Council of Binh Giang district on July 24, 2023. This is a level III traffic project, with a total length of the route and the overpass of 193.6 m, of which the bridge is 89.15 m long. The project has a total investment of nearly 40 billion VND from the district budget, socialized sources and other legal support sources.

The construction of Bac Hung Hai River overpass aims to complete the regional and inter-regional traffic network, reduce traffic volume in the Sat bridge area, increase connectivity, and create momentum for socio-economic development between Binh Giang district and My Hao town (Hung Yen).

According to the plan, this project was to be implemented from January 2024. However, due to the opinions of many households in Zone 4 in Ke Sat town, the project could not be implemented as planned.
