Temporarily stop investment in Bac Hung Hai river overpass project in Ke Sat town

The People's Committee of Binh Giang district has just issued a document to temporarily suspend investment in the project to build a bridge over the Bac Hung Hai river in Ke Sat town.

Accordingly, Chairman of Binh Giang District People's Committee Truong Manh Long signed a document agreeing with the proposal of Binh Giang District Investment and Construction Project Management Board on temporarily suspending the investment project to build a bridge over Bac Hung Hai River in Ke Sat town.

Binh Giang District People's Committee assigned the District Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with Ke Sat Town People's Committee to survey, research and collect public opinions, and report to the District People's Committee on the plan to continue construction.

The leaders of the District People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance - Planning, Department of Economy and Infrastructure to guide, coordinate, inspect and supervise the Binh Giang District Construction Investment Project Management Board during the implementation process to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Previously, on July 30, 2023, the People's Council of Binh Giang district issued Resolution No. 90 on deciding on the investment policy for the Bac Hung Hai river overpass project at the location on Quang Trung street, residential area of ​​​​wards 4 and 5, Ke Sat town.

The scale of the project includes the approach road and bridge of about 209,430 m. The first part of the route will connect the two branches to the internal road in front of St. Peter's Church (Dong Xa), the end point of the route will harmoniously connect with Quang Trung Street. The total length of the route and the river bridge is 193.6 m; of which the bridge length is 89.15 m, the bridge width is 4 m.

The project's objective is to meet the transportation and connectivity needs and create a breakthrough in the socio-economic development of Binh Giang and My Hao districts (Hung Yen); gradually complete the traffic infrastructure network according to the planning and traffic development orientation of Binh Giang district in particular, Hai Duong province in general... Thereby, to reduce the load on roads with high traffic density, limit traffic accidents; improve the need for exchange, cultural and spiritual life, social security of people in the area, ensure national security and defense... This is also a policy in line with the socio-economic development orientation of Hai Duong province and Binh Giang district, the urban construction planning of Binh Giang, Hai Duong province to 2030, with a vision to 2045...

Some residents of Ward 5, Ke Sat Town hope to soon build a bridge across the river to connect Ward 5 to the center of Ke Sat Town. However, some households in Ward 4 of Ke Sat Town believe that the design and construction of the Bac Hung Hai River bridge has some inappropriate points that affect the lives, activities and businesses of many households.
