Many tourists were delighted to see with their own eyes the white 'sea of clouds' floating at night, blending with the beautiful full moon of January in Ta Xua.
Ta Xua - a highland commune in Bac Yen district, bordering Tram Tau district (Yen Bai) and Bac Yen district (Son La) has long been a favorite destination for many tourists, especially for travel enthusiasts who love cloud hunting.
Most visitors here choose to watch the clouds during the day, few people hunt for clouds at night. However, the "sea of clouds" scene at night in Ta Xua is very beautiful, visitors who have had the opportunity to see it cannot help but exclaim.
Mai Anh, a young person who has been working in tourism for 5 years in Ta Xua, said that the cloud hunting season lasts from September to April of the following year, with the end of the year being the time when clouds appear the most. Tourists should choose to go on sunny days or days after the rain (low temperature at night and high during the day, sunny days) to easily hunt clouds.
In particular, if you want to hunt clouds at night, visitors must go on the full moon day to see clearly. At that time, the "sea of clouds" float, winding around the mountains, blending with the full moon light, creating a "magical" scene like a fairyland. These pictures were taken by Mai Anh at 8pm, on the full moon day of January.
In Ta Xua, there are many homestays and tourist attractions with favorable geographical locations at an altitude of over 2,000m above sea level, making it easier for tourists to hunt for clouds. Just lying in the room, opening the door or pulling the curtains, tourists can admire the "sea of clouds" floating right before their eyes.
However, the downside of hunting clouds at night is that it is difficult to take beautiful photos due to lack of light. After watching the clouds, visitors can take a walk, light a campfire, roast potatoes, etc. to feel the chilly but peaceful atmosphere at night.
In addition to cloud hunting, visitors to Ta Xua in the first days of the year also have the opportunity to experience many activities imbued with the cultural identity of the indigenous people; check-in at the "dinosaur spine", turtle head rock, lonely tree or visit the national primeval forest.
Ta Xua is about 200km from the center of Hanoi. From Hanoi, visitors can travel by bus or motorbike to get here. If traveling by bus, visitors will arrive at Bac Yen town, then rent a motorbike and travel about 15km to Ta Xua. In the afternoon, visitors can go straight from Ta Xua to Tram Tau, combining with exploring Nghia Lo before returning to the capital.
