The meteorological agency forecasts that in the next 24 hours, the low pressure area in the East Sea is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression, with showers and thunderstorms in many coastal areas.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the low pressure area is currently located at about 9.5 - 10.5 degrees North latitude and 112.5 - 113.5 degrees East longitude, over the Truong Sa archipelago. In the next 24 hours, the low pressure area will move slowly in a West-Northwest direction, with the possibility of strengthening into a tropical depression.

The low pressure trough connecting with the low pressure area, the central and southern East Sea (including the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 6 - 7 may occur.

In addition, on the night of February 11 and 12, the northeastern sea area of ​​the North East Sea will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, and waves 2-4 m high.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and large waves.

On the night of February 11 and February 12, the North will have light rain in some places, with fog and light mist at night and in the morning. In particular, in the plains and coastal areas of the North, there will be light rain, drizzle and scattered fog near dawn and on the morning of February 12. The night and morning will be cold.

On the night of February 12 and 13, cold air will flow in, causing rain and light rain in this area, with some rain in the Northwest. It will be cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold.
