The subject appropriated nearly 9 billion VND from 4 victims and provided false information to appropriate over 500 million VND from a victim when receiving documents to change land use purpose.
On October 3, the Investigation Police Agency of Tra Vinh Province Police announced that it had issued an arrest warrant for Le Hoang (42 years old, residing in Hamlet 4, Phuoc Kien Commune, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City) to continue investigating and clarifying the act of fraud and property appropriation.
According to the investigation results, around April 2021, Hoang came to Tra Vinh province to live, introducing himself as Le Minh Hoang (49 years old, residing in Ward 5, Tra Vinh city), specializing in real estate business.
During the process of getting to know the victims, Hoang gave false information that he had bought 5 plots of land in Tra Vinh city to divide and sell.
To gain their trust, Hoang used his personal car to take them to see the land, from which they trusted and agreed to give Hoang money to buy the land.
From May 2022 to September 2022, Hoang appropriated nearly 9 billion VND from 4 victims and provided false information to appropriate over 500 million VND from a victim when receiving documents to change land use purpose.
The Investigation Police Agency of Tra Vinh Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and clarify the case.
