Arrested 4 temporary construction workers residing in Hai Duong for drug possession and trafficking

The subjects include: Diep Viet Thanh (born in 1981 in Tan Quang commune, Bac Quang district, Ha Giang); Nguyen Van Huynh (born in 1995 in Lien Giang commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh); Bui Xuan Dinh (born in 1991 in Thanh Son commune) and Quach Thanh Tung (born in 1989 in Thanh Cao commune, both in Luong Son district, Hoa Binh).

Previously, on the afternoon of July 19, Dinh and Tung were caught red-handed by Chi Linh City Police illegally storing drugs in An Lac Ward (Chi Linh City). The police seized two paper packages containing 0.315 grams of heroin. Dinh and Tung confessed to contributing 100,000 VND each to buy drugs from Thanh.

Immediately afterwards, the authorities searched Thanh's residence and seized 10.858 grams of heroin contained in 57 paper packages; 11 plastic bags; 1 electronic scale and some white powder (heroin) scattered on the bathroom floor.

Thanh confessed that he bought the drugs from Huynh and divided them into small amounts to use and sell for profit. Thanh bought drugs from Huynh twice on July 9 and 18, both in Chi Linh City, each time for 30 million VND.

From Thanh's testimony and collected documents and evidence, Chi Linh City Police continued to search Huynh's residence, seizing 2.059 grams of heroin in a plastic box and 1 electronic scale.

All four subjects are seasonal construction workers. Before being arrested, the subjects temporarily resided in several districts, towns, and cities in the province, mainly in industrial parks and clusters where construction works were underway...

Tung has a criminal record for theft and will be released from prison in 2023. The remaining suspects have no criminal record.
