Two newly released prisoners bought drugs in Hai Phong and brought them back to Kinh Mon to sell for profit.

Kinh Mon Town Police (Hai Duong) are continuing to investigate and consolidate the case file of a drug case that was recently busted, with two subjects inviting each other to buy drugs in the railway area (Hai Phong) and bring them back to Kinh Mon Town to sell for profit.

At 2:30 p.m. on July 4, at Hiep Thuong bridge area in Hiep Thuong residential area, Hiep Son ward, Kinh Mon town police inspected and caught two subjects, Pham Ngoc Thanh (born in 1990, in Kim Bao residential area, Duy Tan ward, Kinh Mon) and Vu Quang Dat (born in 2003, in Vinh Xa commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen) transporting drugs for sale.

The seized exhibits included 1 backpack and 1 handbag containing plastic bags containing 14 gray MDMA tablets, weighing 6.055 grams; 25 red Methamphetamine tablets, weighing 2.492 grams; and 5.189 grams of Methamphetamine (crystal form); 21.152 grams of Ketamine (crystal form).

Thanh and Dat confessed that they bought the drugs together at the railway area in Kien An (Hai Phong City) and brought them to Kinh Mon town to sell for profit.

Thanh has 2 previous convictions for illegal possession of military weapons (2012) and intentional infliction of injury (2018). He was released from prison in December 2023. Dat has 1 previous conviction for rape of a person under 16 years old. He was released from prison in February 2024.
