With revenue from increased production, the Thanh Mien District Military Command has supplemented meals for officers, employees and soldiers by about 8,000 VND/person/week.
Since the beginning of the year, the Thanh Mien District Military Command has stepped up production, proactively exploited the system of gardens, ponds, and barns for livestock farming, and developed clean food sources to serve the soldiers' lives. By early October, the entire unit had harvested 1.4 tons of fish, 550 kg of pork, poultry, and waterfowl, and 3,180 kg of vegetables and fruits of all kinds.
After deducting expenses, the unit earned nearly 70 million VND in profit from increased production. With this source of income, the District Military Command supplemented the meals of officers, employees and soldiers by about 8,000 VND/person/week.
Currently, Thanh Mien District Military Command has more than 1,000 m2 of garden, pond, and barn to serve production.
